Introduction to the verb rader
The English translation of the French verb rader is “to scrape” or “to erase”. The infinitive form is pronounced “rah-deh”.
The word “rader” comes from the Latin word “radere”, meaning “to scrape”. In everyday French, it is most often used in the Plus-que-parfait tense, which is the past perfect tense in English. This tense is used to describe an action that happened before another action in the past.
Three simple examples of rader used in the Plus-que-parfait tense are:
