Introduction to the verb bléser
The English translation of the French verb bléser is “to wound” or “to injure.” The infinitive form, bléser, is pronounced “bleh-zay.”
The word bléser comes from the Latin word “laesus,” meaning “hurt.” It entered the French language in the 12th century and has been used in its current form since the 15th century.
