Introduction to the verb censurer
The English translation of the French verb censurer is “to censor.” It is pronounced “sehn-suh-ray.”
Censurer comes from the Latin word “censura” which means “censorship.” In everyday French, it is most often used in the Conditionnel Présent tense to express a conditional action or situation that would occur if certain conditions were met.
