Introduction to the verb fausser
The English translation of the French verb fausser is “to falsify” or “to distort.” It is pronounced as “foh-seh” in its infinitive form.
Fausser comes from the Latin word “falsus” meaning “false.” In everyday French, it is most often used in the futur antérieur tense to indicate an action that will have been completed in the future. This tense is formed with the auxiliary verb “avoir” or “être” in the future tense followed by the past participle of the verb.
