Futur Simple (Simple Future) Tense Conjugation of the French Verb exister
Introduction to the verb exister
The English translation of the French verb exister is “to exist.” It is pronounced as “eg-zee-stey” in the infinitive form.
The word exister comes from the Latin verb existere, which means “to come into being.” It entered the French language in the 16th century and has been used in everyday French to denote the action of being present or having reality. In the Futur Simple tense, exister is used to describe something that will exist in the future.
Example 1: Je n’existerai plus dans ce monde. (I will no longer exist in this world.)
Example 2: Les robots existeront peut-être un jour. (Robots may exist one day.)
Example 3: Est-ce que cette méthode existera encore dans 10 ans ? (Will this method still exist in 10 years?)
Note that in these examples, exister can also be replaced by the verb “to be” in English, as it conveys a similar meaning of existence.
