Contre-Passer means to circle around or bypass.

Examples of contre-passer in Every Day Usage

  1. Je dois contre-passer mes notes de cours avant de les rendre au professeur. (I need to go over my class notes before turning them in to the teacher.)
  2. Nous devons contre-passer les factures pour vérifier qu’elles sont toutes payées. (We have to double-check the invoices to make sure they’re all paid.)
