Galeter means to slip or slide with difficulty, or to struggle to maintain one’s balance.

Examples of galeter in Every Day Usage

  1. Je dois galeter mes vêtements avant de les mettre dans la machine à laver. (I have to shake out my clothes before putting them in the washing machine.)
  2. Les boulangers doivent galeter la farine avant de l’utiliser pour faire du pain. (Bakers need to sift the flour before using it to make bread.)
