Meaning of Monder – French Verb

Monder means to wash or peel (usually fruits or vegetables).

Examples of monder in Every Day Usage

1) “Je dois monder les tomates avant de les couper pour la salade.” (I have to peel the tomatoes before cutting them for the salad.)
2) “Il est recommandé de monder les amandes avant de les utiliser dans la recette.” (It is recommended to blanch the almonds before using them in the recipe.)
3) “Pour monder l’ail, il suffit de le plonger dans l’eau bouillante pendant quelques secondes.” (To peel garlic, simply dip it in boiling water for a few seconds.)
