Passiver means to deactivate or render inactive.

Examples of passiver in Every Day Usage

The verb passive

1. Je me suis fait passiver par mon patron pour avoir manqué une réunion importante. (I was scolded by my boss for missing an important meeting.)

2. Les élèves doivent être passivés lorsqu’ils écoutent une présentation en classe. (Students should be attentive when listening to a presentation in class.)

3. Le chat se laisse passiver par son maître pour se faire brosser le pelage. (The cat allows itself to be groomed by its owner.)
