Introduction to the verb accorder
The English translation of the French verb accorder is “to accord” or “to grant.” The infinitive form is pronounced “ah-kor-der.”
The verb accorder comes from the Old French word “accorder” which means “to be in agreement or harmony.” It is derived from the Latin word “accordare” which also means “to be in agreement.”
