Introduction to the verb classer
The English translation of the French verb classer is “to classify” or “to sort.” It is pronounced as “klah-seh” in the infinitive form.
The word classer comes from the Latin word “classis” which means “class” or “group.” In everyday French, it is most often used in the Conditionnel Présent tense, which is used to express a hypothetical or uncertain action in the present tense.
