Introduction to the verb classer
The English translation of the French verb classer is “to classify” or “to sort.” It is pronounced “klah-seh” in its infinitive form.
The word classer comes from the Latin word “classare” meaning “to group” or “to divide into classes.” In everyday French, classer is most often used to talk about organizing or categorizing things.
