Introduction to the verb entre-louer
The English translation of the French verb entre-louer is “to sublet.” It is pronounced as “ahn-truh-loo-ay.”
Entrelouer comes from the combination of the prefix entre- meaning “between” and the verb louer meaning “to rent.” It is most often used in everyday French in the Futur Antérieur tense to talk about future events that will have happened before another future event. This tense is formed with the auxiliary verb “avoir” in the future tense, followed by the past participle of the verb.
