Introduction to the verb impulser
The English translation of the French verb impulser is “to compel” or “to urge.” It is pronounced “im-pul-zay” in its infinitive form.
The word impulser comes from the Latin verb impellere, meaning “to drive or push forward.” In French, it is most often used as a transitive verb, meaning it requires an object.
