Introduction to the verb conjurer
The English translation of the French verb conjurer is “to conjure” or “to summon.” The infinitive form of conjurer is pronounced “kon-zhoo-reh.”
The word conjurer comes from the Latin verb conjurare, which means “to come together, to conspire.” In everyday French, conjurer is most often used to mean “to cast a spell” or “to perform magic.” However, it can also be used in a more figurative sense to mean “to conjure up” or “to evoke.”
