Introduction to the verb pédaler
The English translation of the French verb pédaler is “to pedal”. It is pronounced as “pay-da-lay”.
The verb pédaler comes from the Latin word “pedalis”, meaning “of the foot”. It is most often used in everyday French to describe the action of pushing the pedals on a bicycle or similar device.
